“I don’t like nostalgia especially,” Debbie Harry tells Clash. “It doesn’t appeal to me. I understand why people want to go to see bands that they grew up with or something like that, or relive a little. But our lives have always been centred around music so to be going, ‘Remember, remember, remember...’ doesn’t really do much for your creative mind.”
On new album ‘Pollinate’, the New Yorkers have drawn upon a diverse palette of contemporary talents including Sia and Dev Hynes to capture a sound that is as fresh and forward thinking as their uncompromising hometown.
